Yesterday was Selection Sunday, when the NCAA selection committee released the 68 men’s basketball teams that make up the 2015 tournament. The school is a 13 seed and will take on Georgetown–a four seed–this Thursday. This is Easterm Washington’s first March Madness appearance since 2004. Let the madness begin. Seattle hotel news: French designer Philippe Starck is the big name behind the latest luxury hotel that is slated to open in Seattle, The Puget Sound Business Journal reports. The 184-room SLS hotel will occupy the base of the under-construction Fifth + Columbia tower and is set to open in 2017.
We may have had the mildest winter on record, but we also just had the wettest March day yesterday after heavy rains, winds and even a little mountain snow pummeled the Puget Sound region.
