Want to step inside a cool startup’s office? The Puget Sound Businesss Journal takes a tour of Eastlake-based home improvement website Porch.com’s fun digs. I’ve been there and all I can say is they have tons and tons of free cereal. Jealous.
I’d never have expected this to open in downtown Bellevue: MyNorthwest.com reports the Eastside’s first-ever retail pot shop has opened its doors along historic Main Street. The chic shop called Green-Theory is hoping to be “the Nordstrom of marijuana.”
Workers at a Puyallup Pizza Time were held up at gunpoint last night and ordred to tie themselves up in the bathroom. According to Komo News, police say the robbery is connected to a string of similar incidents in the area.
Today in cute: Three African lion cubs were born on October 24 at the Woodland Park Zoo. They’re currently being cared for in the zoo’s maternity den and won’t be ready for prime time just yet. But! The Seattle PI has photos and videos of the babes–all males–and hoo boy, they’re adorable.
Crosscut.com takes an in-depth look at our city’s massage parlors–complete with happy endings!–and the Eastside’s developing brothel scene. The five-part investigative series on Seattle’s booming sex industry is definitely worth a read.
