PCC Sets July Opening For Downtown Seattle Store
Small-format store was first announced last year

PCC Community Markets has cemented plans to open a small format store in downtown Seattle.
The store, called PCC Corner Market, is the Seattle-based co-op’s first small format store. It will open in July at Fourth Avenue and Union Street in a portion of the footprint of PCC’s former traditional store that closed in January 2024.
PCC, which operates 15 stores across the region, first announced the small-format store last year. The Rainier Tower location will be about 6,000 square feet, significantly smaller than a traditional PCC store. PCC says it is “tailored to meet the unique needs of the downtown community,” and will offer options for breakfast, lunch and after work grab-and-go items.
The Downtown Seattle Association says foot traffic in the downtown core is slowly increasing, though it remains well below pre-pandemic levels. About 89,000 workers go downtown each day, and about 108,000 people now live downtown.
Luxury men’s apparel retailer Suit Supply also recently opened in Rainier Tower.
