This weekend is all about puppies and pizza. Oh, and football.

Just in time for Puppy Bowl XX comes new research that shows the Golden Retriever is the most popular dog in Washington state.

A study by pet nutrition experts at PetLab analyzed Google data on more than 200 American Kennel Club dog breeds and also found that 38 states overall favor the Golden Retriever. The French Bulldog is No. 2.

The Puppy Bowl, of course, airs several hours before this Sunday’s Super Bowl between the Chief and 49ers at 11 a.m. PST on the Animal Planet, where Team Ruff squares off against Team Fluff.

This Puppy Bowl is the biggest yet, featuring 131 puppies from 73 shelters and rescues across 36 states and territories.

Google search data also reveals that pizza is the most popular Super Bowl food in both Washington state and the nation. Chili is No. 2, while deviled eggs (really?) takes third.

And, if you’re the gambling type, you’re certainly not alone. Wagers are expected to top $1.35 billion across the 39 regulated markets across the country, an all-time high. With prop bets, you can wager on just about anything, including the length of Reba McEntire’s National Anthem before Super Bowl LVIII. Several gambling sites have the over/under at 90.5 seconds.

One bettor even laid $100,000 on the coin flip. He picked tails.
