Ballard SeafoodFest and West Seattle Summer Fest
(7/13–7/15) Take your pick of two prime neighborhood summer festivals happening this weekend. The Ballard Seafoodfest celebrates Ballard’s Scandinavian heritage and connection to the sea with food, music and more. Headliners include Blitzen Trapper and All Them Witches. Across the city, West Seattle Summer Fest, an annual neighborhood party, sings a similar tune featuring acts including The Black Tones, Shannon and the Clams and Dude York. Times and locations vary. Black & Tan Hall Pop Up Brunch
(7/15) Black & Tan Hall’s co-founder Chef Tarik Abdullah, best known for his Midnight Mecca dinner pop up series, is bringing brunch to the Pike Place Market Atrium Kitchen. The working menu (which may change) includes jackfruit curry, cod cakes, vanilla and pistachio pancakes and other breakfast goodies that we can’t stop drooling about. The best part? Tuffest 2018
(7/14) This all-day festival centers around women and gender nonconforming individuals in the art and electronic music community. Listen to performances by local electronic artists, view visual art from fashion collective FEMAIL and Colleen Louise Barry of Mount Analogue and take part in panels on art, activism, music and body positivity happening throughout the day. 10 a.m.–10 p.m. Free. (7/13–7/15) Drink wine for a cause at the scenic Marina Park on Lake Washington at this summer wine festival, a benefit for Homeward Pet Adoption Center. Dragon Fest 2018
(7/14–7/15) Head to the International District for the largest annual Asian American celebration in the Pacific Northwest. Performances include traditional Chinese lion/dragon dances, Japanese Taiko drumming and bhangra/Bollywood presentations.
