Holiday Gift Guide, Day 12: Stocking Stuffers

As a kid, you tend to overlook stocking stuffers in favor of those big wrapped presents lurking under the tree, but as an adult, a new discovery awaits: The smallest gifts in stature can often pack the biggest punch (jewelry, tickets to a ballgame, cufflinks). I’m declaring the following list as proof to my point- they may be small, but they are mighty:

Chef’n palm peeler
Before someone attempts to peel that pile of potatoes prison style with a paring knife, get him or her this little handheld lifesaver from local comapny Chef’n. Secured on the hand by a finger hold, this amazing tool keeps fingers safe from the blade and makes for easy peeling with a sharp, sliding blade.

Baggu fold-up tote bag
If you are anything like me, there are a plethora of reusable grocery bags tattooed with corporate logos tossed in your car trunk. But I actually use and love my fold-up Baggu bag, which wraps up into a pocket-sized pouch and comes in punchy patterned designs.

This sculptural bowl by local artist Brandon Perhacs is made from soft merino wool felt and is reversible, easily snapping together with other bowls to create mod designs (including rolled up to stuff down that hanging sock).
