Cupcake Royale’s featured Valentine’s Day treat is the “deathcake”($6.65). Made with Theo Chocolate, Stumptown espresso ganache and chocolate cake, it will be available at all four locations through February 14 (Capitol Hill, Ballard, Madrona and West Seattle: You’re lucky). You can also buy their V-Day-themed “Sweetheart” 4-pack or “babycake” 6-pack. Throughout the month of February, Fonte Coffee Roaster Café and Wine Bar will offer The Lusty Latte (starting at $2.85) and the Strawberries, Lust & Chocolate pairing, which includes 2 flutes of champagne, house-made passion fruit truffles and strawberries and chocolate ($20 serves two). High 5 Pie, available at any Fuel Coffee, will offer Heart-shaped Flipsides, specially-wrapped Valentine’s Day Pie jars, boxed pairs of Cutie Pies, seven inch deep dish pies with hearts on top and Piepops, pie lollipops, wrapped in Valentine’s Day bundles. Looking for a little less sweet and a little more savory? On Saturday, Feb. 13, stop by Marination Mobile wearing a Hawaiian shirt and Marination will give you a free Aloha Slider with a purchase of $5 or more. Limit one per customer.
And why not make a weekend of it? Couples looking to make the most of Valentine’s weekend (or any weekend) should book a room at the Wild Iris Inn, each of which comes with its own jetted double soaking tub and other romantic amenities. While the Wild Iris is more of an inn than a B&B—you won’t be subjected to grandma’s musty old stories—it does serve a killer breakfast included with a night’s stay. So go ahead and relax…you deserve it!
