If you
By Renee Schurtz July 23, 2009

If you’re looking for a great reason to hop on a ferry, here it is—the Kitsap Wine Festival.
What: The Kitsap Wine Festival is a new outdoor wine and food celebration. The inaugural festival is featuring wine tastings from over 20 Pacific Northwest wineries, including Kiona Winery, Yellow Hawk Cellars, DeLille Cellars, Corliss Estates, Chateau Ste. Michelle and many more. Tasty treats will be provided by Chef Marsha Henry of Kitsap Conference Center, Chef Shawn Walker of Anthony’s at Sinclair Inlet and a variety of local artisan food producers.
When: Sunday, August 23
Why: The best of Bremerton—this is a chance to meander revitalized Bremerton while sampling the stash of Northwest wineries, chefs and food artisans—all while soaking up the live music and waterfront views. And if that’s not good enough: the proceeds benefit Harrison Medical Center Foundation.
Where: The Bremerton waterfront, at the Harborside Fountain Park.
Easter Egg: There’s no need to take a car on the ferry because the festival is adjacent to the Bremerton ferry landing. Walk on the ferry from downtown Seattle. (So go ahead and have that extra taste of wine.)
2:00 – 6:00 pm, $45. Purchase tickets online at www.kitsapwinefestival.com. Parking provided at the lot adjacent to the ferry terminal. www.kitsapconferencecenter.com
