Outdoors: Get Birdy with an Audubon Master
Learn from an Audubon Master at Carkeek Park
By Roddy Scheer February 23, 2010
What’s great about birding is that anyone can get out and enjoy it while taking in some fresh air and getting a little exercise. If you’re interested in it but not sure where to start, tag along on with an Audubon Master Birder on a bird walk through Carkeek Park. The casual, friendly and informative walks happen on the fourth Saturday of every month, including this coming weekend, from 8 to 10 a.m. The walks are free (meet at the Environmental Learning Center parking lot at Carkeek Park); register by calling 206.684.0877 or emailing carkeek.park@seattle.gov (provide your name, address and phone number).
