/If you are into tilling your backyard flower or vegetable patch, you definitely don’t want to miss the Northwest Flower & Garden Show at the Washington State Convention Center in downtown Seattle beginning Wednesday February 3 and running through the weekend. Some two dozen different display gardens from different landscape firms, non-profits and professional organizations showcase a wide variety of planting selections and landscaping styles. Weekend gardeners are sure to glean some ideas for their own backyards from perusing the displays–and can get lots of free expert advice from vendors along the way. The show is open Wednesday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. A half-day ticket (for admission after 3 p.m.) is $10, and kids under 12 get in free.
