Falling leaves, pashminas and pumpkins, oh my!

Where did September go? All of the sudden people are layering and drinking Pumpkin lattes and I haven’t even committed to a pair of fall boots.

This week’s photo is meant to remind you of the holiday season that’s just around the corner and the countless decisions that must be made this time of year. Are you staying in or venturing out for Halloween?  Who’s hosting Thanksgiving? Is it time to replace that pashmina from three seasons ago? My suggestion is to start simple: pick your pumpkin to get into the spirit of the season.

I took this photo at Pike Place Market. One of the marketeers said they don’t have much of a selection when it comes to pumpkins. So head to your local grocery store, or better yet, hit the road and take a day trip to one of our many local pumpkin patches. (The kids will love Pichas’ Pumpkin Patch.) And if you’re ready for more, head to a corn maze. Everything else can wait.
