Key Issues: The port’s
real estate holdings. He
asks why the port is losing
money on its real estate
and says he’s the right
person to turn that around.
He is excited about the port’s
growing cruise ship industry.
“What other business is
bringing that number of people
to the region? What are we
doing to market our region to
encourage them to stick
around and come back?”

in public administration

active in the local Democratic

Key Issues: He wants the
port to invest in “green collar”
jobs, especially for minorities
and women. Another priority
is for the port to maintain its
competitiveness with Canada,
Panama and Mexico.
