Maybe we were just in denial or maybe we just didn’t realize how bad things really were, but now thanks to Forbes magazine it’s time to face the truth: Seattle is America’s Most Miserable Sports City. This dubious title was awarded thanks to our dismal record of only one championship in 107 combined sports seasons (yes that means football, basketball and baseball combined) and the loss of the beloved Sonics last year after 41 years of play. While things may look dismal at the bottom (or the top in this case) with the addition of the Sounders and the Mariners getting Griffey back, we hope Seattle will soon be on its way to moving out of this first place for good.
