pHouse of Matriarch perfumer Christi Meshell explains a bit about Barchenger and their collaboration:/p
pBorn in Issaquah, he has been creating his hand drawn pen and ink pieces ever since he awoke from a back surgery where he received two donor vertebrates seven years ago. He had never drawn before that! He is really into fragrance and when he decided he was ready to create brand his art, perfume was where he wanted to start. The fragrance creation process began a year ago, and we created eight bold fragrances for his line. The merging of art and artisan fragrance is a growing movement, and I love creating conceptual /interpretive fragrances./p

pIn addition to the eight scents under the Achtung line, Meshell will also have her limited-run, sold out Super Natural Collection available for sniffing at Essenza. These 13 perfumes are completely pure, with 75 percent of the raw materials sourced from Washington state. A portion of the sales will benefit bee conservation programs in the region. Customers can special order their set at Essenza to be picked up in early September./p
pAs an aside, House of Matriarch was recently named by emMen’s Journal/emnbsp;as the creator of a Top Men’s Scent for 2013, and was chosen for emSunset/em magazine’s Best of the West awards. Meshell is involved with a href=”http://\/\/seattlemag.com.239elwb01.blackmesh.com/article/seattle-sniffs-whe…“Seattle Sniffs/a, a group for perfume-lovers, who we wrote about in the February issue of emSeattle/em mag./p
