!–paging_filter–pJulie Andres, former chef and owner of a href=”http://\/\/seattlemag.com.239elwb01.blackmesh.com/la-medusa“La Medusa/a in Columbia City, and present yoga teacher, has launched a href=”http://almaseattle.com/” target=”_blank”Alma/a, a new pop-up concept (with plans to go brick and mortar) just in time for the holidays./p
pAndres imports unique, colorful and soulful (more on this below) jewelry and artisan crafts made by the Huichol tribe and other artists from Nayarit and Jalisco, including some amazing leather bags from Sayulita (a popular surf town), for Alma, which means “soul or self” in Spanish. Andres regularly visits Sayulita and was drawn to “the color and flavors that provoke the senses and the connections to be made with the artists.”/p
pAlma’s popping up at a href=”http://www.sugarpillseattle.com/” target=”_blank”Sugarpill/a on Cap Hill from November 22 through the 26 and at La Medusa in Columbia City on December 7—save those dates./p
