Capitol Hill Block Party
(7/21-7/23) Two outdoor stages and three indoor venues are set up within six Capitol Hill blocks that encompass neighborhood restaurants, bars, resident art galleries and independent craft booths. Guests 21 and older at one of our favorite summer festivals will have access to any of the three—count ’em—three beer gardens. People from all over the city—and well beyond—are invited to get down to the sounds of bands such as Diplo, Run the Jewels, Wolf Parade, Flor, Julie Byrne, Lizzo, Angel Olsen, Lord Huron, Danny Brown, Naked Giants, Thundercat, Zoolab and others. Flying Heritage SkyFair
(7/22) History comes to life as some of the rarest planes in the world take to the sky. This is the largest warbird and tank museum on the West Coast, and visitors will be able to see historic planes and tanks from the collection in action, along with WWII reenactors and a hands-on engineering exhibit from the Pacific Science Center. 9 a.m.–4 p.m. Prices vary. Red, White and Brew
(7/27) Quaff craft brews and sip award-winning wines from Seattle magazine’s Washington Wine Awards while soaking up the sun at the magazine’s tasting event. More than 60 wineries and breweries will be on hand. This year’s event includes beers from Seattle magazine’s inaugural Beer Awards and small plates from local restaurants. 6–10 p.m. $60.
