New local salons offer niche services for style seekers
By Seattle Mag May 12, 2011

Former Suede Salon owner Amy Quackenbush has moved to Fremont, where she opened Adele (Fremont, 4224A Fremont Ave. N; 206.522.5245; adelesalon.com), a boutique salon, in February. With a Paris-meets–Palm Desert vibe, accented by refurbished chandeliers and bright splashes of aqua, the new digs have Quackenbush back behind the chair, taming tresses with her signature Diamond Treatment (starts at $70), a precision cut followed by a top-secret conditioning glaze. … Get the Mad Men look at 1960s mod-themed Spatini (Capitol Hill, 907 Eighth Ave.; 206.453.5380; spatinisalon.com), complete with a giant Pop Art mural by Bellingham artist Andrea Heimer. You can order up a sex kitten blowout, voluminous beehive style (both between $35 and $60) or go easy with a boho braid from the “braid bar” ($15).
Bringing lash love to the Loveless Building, Brittany Wilson and Corey Parker opened Blink Lash Bar (Capitol Hill, 715 Broadway E; 206.324.5274; blinklashbarseattle.com) in March, an eyelash-only spa specializing in synthetic ($225) and mink eyelash extensions ($400), as well as lash dips ($80–$200), a trendy coated-lash service that delivers a fully applied mascara look that lasts for up to six weeks.
