CFDA and W Seattle: A Passion for Fashion

By Seattle Mag February 26, 2013

Back in September 2012 during New York Fashion Week, W Hotels announced a partnership with the CFDA {FASHION INCUBATOR}, the newest program from the Council of Fashion Designers of America, which fosters designers and helps them grow their business. W Hotels are helping to do this by providing access to markets outside of New York City, via their network of hotels.

Designers Marc Daniels and Ricky Hendry of the functional menswear line Isaora picked W Seattle as their hotel, and will be in town this Friday for a meet and greet cocktail party (media only, sorry, but I’ll report back), before heading up to the mountains for some skiing.

The duo launched Isaora in 2009, and are known for their use of performance fabrics to make clothes that combine innovative design and high style with the demands of modern life, which in this case means looking good on the street and the slopes.

At present, the brand is not available in Seattle (although Blackbird used to carry them), so check them out online—I feel like their designs are perfect for Seattle’s metrosexual man who likes to look good in clothes that multi-task.
