Edie’s Capitol Hill Moving into Former Brocklind’s Space

By Seattle Mag May 7, 2013

After 13 years in the same spot on Pine St., Edie’s Shoes owner Erin Dolan has announced a move up and over a bit to a new location on Pike St. in the Greenus Building, former home to Brocklind’s costume and formal wear shop, which is is being redeveloped by Hunters Capital, whose mission it is to retain and preserve Seattle’s historic building, and reimagine them into places where shops and small businesses can thrive in neighborhoods like Capitol Hill.

The move, which is expected to happen in June, is a result of the news that the building she’s in (the same one that houses Frock Shop and Bauhaus Coffee) is being dramatically altered as a new development.

Her new shop will be twice as big, with a larger selection of men and women’s shoes as well as children’s shoes. Her other location, in West Seattle, is going strong, smack dab in the middle of The Junction.
