Snag some late summer wear at the following local sales this weekend:

Menswear retailer Road is offering up to 60 percent discounts on madras shirts, blazers and chic men’s shorts this month at both their Bellevue and downtown locales. Extra bonus: select denim and pants are buy one and get one free.

Get thee to Baby & Co downtown this weekend for not one, but two sales including their annual pop-up style Designer Closet Sale, chock full of new and gently used discount Euro designer wear from the likes of Commes des Garcon, Girbaud and the much-coveted Lanvin. Also going on in the store, a mega 60-80 percent off sale on last season’s Lilith collection. The Macy’s garage is offering $3 parking for customers, and stop at the ATM on your way, this baby is cash only.

And looking ahead to September 8, Fashion Night Out at Neiman Marcus is getting a delightful, local twist this year: Six teams of students from the Art Institute of Seattle’s Fashion Marketing department will compete the night of FNO to see who is the next Rachel Zoe-like mega stylist. Working with an assigned theme and the Bellevue Neiman Marcus’ fall merchandise, the teams of students will have 2 hours to canvas the store before the event and figure out their look. The final results will be on display from 6 to 10 pm during FNO on September 8, and guests will vote for the winner. The winning team will receive a gift certificate to shop NM and will have their look displayed in one of the store’s windows during September. I’ll be there that evening, more details to come on other FNO activities!
