Alright, shoppers and deal devotees, start marking your calendars because the next couple of weeks are chalk full of sale parties (and geez people, get out to West Seattle!):

Next Thursday, March 31st, West Seattle shops Clementine, Edie’s, Carmilia’s and Sweetie are teaming up for a big ol’ Fashion Spring Fling, staying open late from 7 to 10 p.m. and giving out door prizes and free glasses of the bubbly. In case you need any extra motivation, check out Clementine’s new and improved website to peek at the shoes just waiting to be claimed.

Also mark the date for April 16th on your calendar, because though you still (technically) have two days to get them in, the prompt and punctual can rejoice in being done with taxes for another year by shopping Tax-Free Day at the West Seattle Junction. Merchants including Knows Perfume, Capers and Fleurt, will be picking up the 9.5 percent sales tax tab that day so you have one day free of some kind of taxes.

Cynthia Rowley fans, get across the bridge for the designer’s trunk show at Promesse in Kirkland next Wednesday, March 30th from 6 to 8 p.m. Also pilfer through new spring merchandise and feel good about your splurge: 10 percent of the net profts from the evening will go the Red Cross for Japan earthquake relief.

Sweet Petula’s bright, happy soaps are indeed sweet. Even sweeter is the friend who gives Sweet Petula’s soap of the month subscription. Available in three, six or full year subscriptions, the lucky friend gets one new fresh botanical soap each month, ranging from ruby grapefruit to fresh lavender. So, who likes me?
