!–paging_filter–pAfter a brief absence, a href=”http://www.giltcity.com/seattle” target=”_blank”Gilt City Seattle/a is back on the scene with weekly deals and a a href=”http://www.giltcity.com/seattle/gcwarehousesea” target=”_blank”huge warehouse sale/a of mythic proportions. On Friday, July 26 at 415 Westlake in South Lake Union, from 5 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., shoppers will save up to 90 percent off Gilt’s top designer brands, including women’s, men’s and kid’s fashion, as well as home goods and more, while sipping on sparkling wine. All for $5 per ticket. What could be better? */p
pIt’s a huge sale, so common sense shopping rules apply, including these tips from Gilt City Seattle Curator, Rebecca Skidmore:br /1. Bring your credit cards! Cash is not accepted at the sale, so be prepared with your plastic.br /2. Wear base layers so that clothes and dresses are easy to try on. Ballet flats and sandals are key for trying on shoes in a snap—no lace up gladiator sandals, ladies!br /3. Leave your big bags and coats in the car—those have to be checked, so always better to avoid the lines and get right in there! Wristlets are allowed and a great way to avoid checking – pack light and only carry your credit card, driver’s license—and of course your phone to tweet and Instagram your great finds to show your friends./p
p*Oh right, free admission would be better! We’ve got 20 tickets to give away to the third (of four) shopping sessions from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m., so be sure to check our a href=”https://www.facebook.com/seattlemagazine?ref=hl” target=”_blank”Facebook/a page and a href=”https://twitter.com/seattlemag” target=”_blank”Twitter/a feed, as well as the a href=”https://www.facebook.com/InsideSeattle?fref=ts” target=”_blank”Inside Seattle/a Facebook page for a chance to win./p
