From holidays to graduations, the shops sprinkled in U Village and surrounding area have your back year around.
Curving behind the northwest bend of the shopping center, stroll along NE Blakeley to snag a few delightfully irreverent cards at Curtsy Bella; owners Mary Jo Thomas and daughter Danielle Fayette stand ready to help you find the perfect gift to pair it with, be it an Emily Sloan weekender tote ($175) or a glitzy champagne cork ($20).
Score a gift worthy of that die-hard biker in your life at Counterbalance Bicycles, say a Lezyne classic pedal rod that doubles as a pedal remover and beer bottle opener ($25.99).
The heart of University Village offers nifty goods from its wide array of locally owned shops. First peek inside Mercer to land a few fashion finds for yourself, starting with fall-colored Hunter boots (starting at $125) and jewel-toned J Brand denim ($176).
Swing by the Kids Club, a one-stop shop for kids’ clothes, toys and strollers, before dropping in at Mrs. Cook’s to put together a thoughtful popcorn package with a stovetop popper, jars of kernels and salty recipe suggestions.
Breathe in the handmade leather smell of Gidigio and Swedish Hasbeens shoes before stepping foot into Sole Food. For your fall footwear needs, check out its coveted Frye boots or the innovative new Spanish line, Art shoes ($200-$340).
