Help Kickstart Michael Cepress

I’m a little obsessed with Kickstarter—the popular crowd-funding website—and often get lost in the site, checking out the cool, weird and improbable campaigns that people launch. I’ve always loved the thought of being a benefactor, and Kickstarter is a great way to do that on a micro-level, since a few bucks often makes all the difference to these ideas.

Seattle mag favorite, tailor/designer Michael Cepress, is nearing the end of his campaign, and needs some serious support from his community to reach his $50,000 goal. Click here for all the details of his campaign, which includes a fascinating look into just how much it costs to be a fashion designer.

I personally just pledged, and you should too. Not only is Cepress insanely talented, he’s also a very, very positive and kind force in Seattle’s fashion scene, sharing his immense knowledge with everyone, and supporting his fellow designers with encouraging words and enthusiasm.

He’s only got four days left in his campaign, and need around $28,000 to make it happen. Let’s do this, people!
