(Through 10/4, times vary) In the new show at the SAM Asian Art Museum, Chiho Aoshima: Rebirth of the World, the Japanese pop artist shares her apocalyptic vision of the future, where skyscrapers have minds (and bodies) of their own, red-eyed ghost girls drift along washed-out beaches, and puffy clouds have ominous linings.

(8/7 to 8/8, times vary) The two-day fest on Kirkland’s picturesque waterfront includes such family-friendly activities as Origami, a drawing jam and a duck dash, in which thousands of rubber duckies are launched into the water and race to the finish. Nosh on food truck fare from the likes of Athena’s, Tokyo Dog or The Ultimate Melt.

Garage Sale Day at Cal Anderson Park

Sunday (8/9, times vary) Hunt for treasure among tons of tables at Cal Anderson Park and in the surrounding Capitol Hill neighborhood. Bring cash and your best bargaining skills.
