I’m thrilled to announce that Fat of the Land author Langdon Cook is our newest columnist at the magazine.
Lang, as he’s known by friends, is the kind of guy that, when he says he’ll be “off the grid,” really means it; he’s known to disappear down the coast and up to the wilds of British Columbia for weeks at a time on foraging, fishing and mushroom hunting expeditions.
And so he’ll be writing a bi-monthly column, Cook’s Adventures, on his varied expeditions. Jigging for squid, plucking the first morels out of the east Cascades, fly fishing for browns, razor clamming on the beaches–he’ll take us all along.
His first column is on a subject close to his heart: eating your yard. Yep, you can eat those stinging nettles popping up in your grass and along the sidewalk!
