This month’s nuptials of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have many eagerly awaiting what’s sure to be a fashion extravaganza, with designer gowns, twinkling (crown) jewels and the de rigueur accessory: decorative headwear.

Whether you’re a fan of the pillbox hat that was favored by Jackie O or of an embellished fascinator, a talented community of Northwest-based milliners is keeping this British wedding tradition alive here at home. “A well-chosen fascinator is the perfect chic accessory to gracefully complete your ensemble,” says Marie Conrad, owner of Spokane-based heirloom accessory studio Emici Livet.
