Prairie Underground Sample Sale

What: Local and sustainable fashion brand Prairie Underground will host its annual must-not-miss sample sale this Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The sale will include hundreds of pieces from past seasons and factory seconds, such as jackets, hoodies, tunics and leggings (all made with organic cotton) at 50 to 85 percent off, and 20 percent of the sale proceeds will be donated to local non-profit organizations that cater to women and children’s health, childhood development and art. The event will be held at Prairie Underground’s Georgetown warehouse.

Filson Store Opening

What: 
Last weekend, Seattle-based outerwear brand Filson opened its new flagship store in SoDo, just blocks away from its former factory and store on Fourth Avenue. The revamped 6,000-square-foot space showcases area-specific, hand-picked art, objects and artifacts curated by Filson’s creative director, Alex Carleton, as well as products exclusive to Seattle. 

Celebrity photographer and director, Sam Jones, will make personal appearances this Saturday at Nordstrom Bellevue from 12-1 p.m. and 
Nordstrom Downtown Seattle from 3-4 p.m. Jones will meet customers while signing copies of Some Where Else, his new photo book/ 
vinyl collaboration with musician Blake Mills. The book offers a unique perspective of the American South and makes a great holiday gift 
for art or music lovers.

Sam Jones Book Signing

 Bellevue and Downtown Seattle Nordstrom locations

SODO Apparel Drop Shop

University Village
What: Seattle-based men’s sportswear brand SODO Apparel has opened up its Drop Shop pop-up at University Village’s northwest entrance (near Ravenna Gardens and H&M) through January 3. Expect several SODO lines on hand, including OTG (On the Go) high-performance active wear, high-performance training gear and Prodigy, which is gear requested and tested by professional athletes. Each Thursday through the end of the year, SODO will present a new style, offering Drop Shop customers the opportunity to purchase the very latest from the brand.

Rockstella Jewels Trunk Show at Essenza

615 North 35th St.
What: This weekend, Essenza is hosting a holiday trunk show with Rockstella Jewels featuring the brand’s latest collection of earrings and lariats made with precious and semi-precious stones. The trunk show will also showcase the Umbra Collection, consisting of sterling silver, 18K highlights, and gem-quality tourmaline, emerald, and sapphire. The event will be held Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
