!–paging_filter–pFinding the right fit is a challenge for many women, but even more so for those who identify as plus size. Despite the demand, the supply of fashionable, well-made and, most importantly, well-fitted clothing in sizes 14 and up is hard to come by. Enter wedding gown designer Olga Szwed, of Bellevue’s La Belle Rêve, whose newest endeavor, Poppy Bloom, aims to fill that void. “I think the fashion world has ignored curvy consumers for a long time,” Szwed says. “It’s slowly changing, but not fast enough.” Each season, starting this spring, Szwed, and business partners Svetlana Petculescu and Lindsey Tabor, will release a collection of dresses and, eventually, separates in “whimsical prints, timeless shapes and flattering silhouettes” for sizes 14–24W, all made in Seattle and priced at $200 or less. “I believe that every woman wants to accentuate her best features,” Szwed says, “and ultimately have fun with fashion and feel beautiful.” Available online only at a href=”http://www.poppyandbloom.com” target=”_blank”poppyandbloom.com/a./p
