The upcoming holiday weekend promises a bounty of delicious food, time well spent with family and friends and any number of festive Thanksgiving traditions. If you hope to use the weekend to get a start on holiday shopping, the eighth annual Small Business Saturday on November 24th should jump to the top of your list.

Small Business Saturday, originally created by the U.S. Small Business Association and American Express in 2010 in an effort to support mom and pop shops struggling to recover from the Great Recession, continues to be a great way to support local businesses. And with a plethora of independent shops and businesses in our own backyard, Seattleites don’t have to look far to find something unique for that someone special on their shopping list  while also supporting their favorite local shop.

As we get excited to #ShopSmall this weekend, we’ve compiled a list of our favorite Small Business Saturday events below.

West Seattle Junction
Enjoy great deals from businesses in the Junction that are participating in this event, including  holiday wine 6 packs for $99 at Sound & Fog and 10 percent off in-store gift cards at The Escape Artist. West Seattle; intersection of California Avenue SW and SW Alaska Street.

High Post Seattle
