With the constant hustle and bustle of our modern-day lives, there is a good possibility that you haven’t yet found new summer fashion staples for what is sure to be a season filled with weekend getaways, music festivals and a couple of good ‘ol fashion backyard barbecues.  

Those feeling the pressure will be delighted to learn that the Nordstrom Half-Year Sale begins this Wednesday, May 23. You can save up to 40 percent on brands like Self-Portrait, Tory Burch, and Topshop through June 3. For those unable to visit a Nordstrom location in person, the sale will be live at nordstrom.com at 10 p.m. PST on May 22. 

We got a preview of the most coveted pieces and let’s just say there might be a couple items we anticiapte adding to our shopping cart. 

For the ladies, we are enjoying a fresh spin on the summer dress that include bold, unexpected prints, such as the double print stretch silk dress from Lewit, and whimsical asymmetrical skirts that include designs from A.L.C. and Sea New York. To complete the look, a white knotted mule – Carrie Bradshaw would approve – by Lewit Rose and a pair of Tory Burch flip flops in the most irresistible shade of robin egg blue.
