Vancouver-Based Aritzia to Open at University Village

By Seattle Mag February 4, 2013

Vancouver, BC-based retailer, Aritzia, has announced that their first Seattle location will open on March 14 in University Village. If the name is familiar, it’s because they already have a boutique in Bellevue Square, their first in the US, which has been open since 2007. The brand started out as one boutique in Vancouver in 1984 and now has 50 worldwide, including 13 in the US.

While they carry well known brands like Citizens of Humanity, Current/Elliot and 7 For All Mankind, it’s their roster of in-house brands, Wilfred, Wilfred Free, Le Fou, TNA, Babaton and Talula, etc., many with a distinct focus on the Pacific Northwest/West Coast lifestyle, that sets this chain apart from the rest.

No two Aritzia stores are the same, and the 5,285-sq-ft U Village space will feature carefully curated art, relevant to our local scene, as well as a comfy, lounge-like feel.
