!–paging_filter–pa href=”http://\/\/seattlemag.com.239elwb01.blackmesh.com/nordstrom“Nordstrom/a is teaming up with Boston-based a href=”https://www.fashionproject.com/” target=”_blank”Fashion Project/a, an innovative clothing donation site that resells gently used designer clothing and donates 55 percent of the proceeds to charity. Since launching in 2012 the company has donated over $50,000 to causes such as the Boys and Girls Clubs of America and Unicef./p
pHere’s how it works: you donate five quality pieces (which equal at least $50 in original retail price), in great condition, by a brand from a href=”https://www.fashionproject.com/nordstrom” target=”_blank”this list/a, and once they sell on the Fashion Project site, you’ll receive a $40 gift card to Nordstrom. The same 55 percent of the proceeds will be donated to a charity, the gift card from Nordstrom is just icing on the cake. In order to sell your items, the peeps at the Fashion Project will send you a pre-paid donation bag—all you have to do is fill it with clothing, shoes and handbags that have more to give, but aren’t doing you right any longer./p
pHere’s a video to explain it further. Sign up now to pay your fashion forward./p
