Warby Parker Winter Collection
Where:
3501 Fremont Ave N and online
What: Warby Parker (now open in Seattle) launched its winter collection yesterday. Five new shapes–Chilton, Chelsea, Baker, Wilder, and Eaton–have been added to the eyewear selection in a cooler palette of blues, greys, and crystals. The styles complement returning pieces (in new colors) from the Japanese titanium Luminary Collection, resulting in a total of 20 new frames, all of which are available in Warby Parker stores and showrooms, as well as online at warbyparker.com. Acetate frames start at $95 and Japanese titanium at $145, and, as always, for every pair sold, a pair is given to someone in need.

Essenza will debut Seattle-based jewelry designer Jamie Joseph’s The Golden Joinery Collection at their bi-annual trunk show this Saturday
from 11- 7 p.m. The luxury selection of rings, earrings, and necklaces highlights gemstones fused together with 22K gold in a style similar to
Kintsugi– the traditional Japanese art of mending pottery. This style requires hand-cutting and polishing, which occasionally leads to
fracturing, leaving behind unusual, beautifully shaped remnants. Kintsugi allows the designer to up-cycle and rethink the casualties of design,
creating a new sustainable approach to material sourcing. The event will include one-of-a-kind pieces, bubbly, and other goodies.
