!–paging_filter–pIn addition to all the fun festival-appropriate activities (street food, bouncy houses for the kids, great music and beer gardens), the a href=”http://wsjunction.org/summerfest/” target=”_blank”West Seattle Summer Fest/a (July 12-14) also features an amazing sidewalk sale. Local businesses save stuff up all year round to blow out during this three-day long event, and the deals are epic—one year I got seven pairs of shoes from Clementine for $90! Here’s a run down of what I know so far. Trust me, between the stores and the kiosks that fill the street, Summer Fest is awesome shopping. (And while the festival itself kicks off Friday morning, most retailers are starting their sales on Thursday, July 11.)/p
pIn addition to sidewalk sale bargains, a href=”http://\/\/seattlemag.com.239elwb01.blackmesh.com/carmilia-s“Carmilia’s/a is hosting their second Vintage Carmilia’s sale starting Friday. Shop owner Linda Sabee’s teenage daughter Emmy fills these sales with cool vintage and recent-season clothing scouted from thrift stores from brands like BCBG and DVF. Prices range from $9 to $75./p
pa href=”http://\/\/seattlemag.com.239elwb01.blackmesh.com/clementine“Clementine/a is offering crazy deals on past and current season shoes, as well as a Prairie Underground sale rack and a rack of amazing vintage dresses (curated by moi), as well as gently loved purses and handbags./p
pJunction mainstay (this is their 29th sidewalk sale), kitchen store a href=”http://www.jfhenry.com/” target=”_blank”JF Henry/a, is offering up to 70 percent off cooking essentials, such as trays, linens, pepper mills and more./p
pa href=”http://\/\/seattlemag.com.239elwb01.blackmesh.com/directory/edies-west-seattle“Edie’s Shoes’/a summer sale is in full effect, which means the deals will be sweet during Summer Fest, and their also offering an expanded selection of cool new lines, including baby clothes from BabyLux Designs./p
pI’ll add to this list as I hear more specifics./p
