Bars and restaurants are getting into the Halloween spirit, featuring themed nights, costume contests, and drink and food specials. The center of Halloween cocktails in the Seattle area might be Anu Apte and Chris Elford’s Canoe Ventures. 

Canoe Ventures manages the craft cocktail bar Rob Roy, the Tiki bar Navy Strength, and the wine and oyster bar Vinnie’s Wine Shop, all within a block in Belltown. Throughout October and until Nov. 2, Rob Roy and Navy Strength turn into Halloween-themed bars.

Rob Roy is the Seattle location for the North American series of cocktail pop-ups known as “Black Lagoon.” The Belltown craft cocktail bar will serve Halloween-themed cocktails (including non-alcoholic options) throughout the month-long pop-up. Black Lagoon organizers, who host almost 40 pop-ups in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, describe it as “an immersive, creepy-as-hell cocktail experience.” 

Navy Strength will host “Nightmare on Wall Street” through Nov. 2, serving cocktails inspired by films such as Jaws, IT, Hereditary, and It Follows. 

The options to celebrate are many. Here are more recommendations. All are on Halloween, (Oct. 31) unless otherwise noted.  

• Black & Tan Hall in Hillman City hosts a fundraiser for Bush Garden, the iconic sukiyaki restaurant and karaoke bar that is moving to Eighth Avenue and South Jackson Street in the International District. Singles tickets are $30, and VIP tables for up to six guests are $300. Doors open at 7 p.m. 
• Cafe Flora in Madison Park promises “ghoulish gougère monsters to pumpkin deviled eggs and tiny meringue ghosts” at both locations. For $55 for adults and $25 for children, guests can also feast on “savory tea “sandwitches,” a selection of gourmet teas, magic potions, and a host of other wicked treats.” The related Flora Bakehouse on Beacon Hill will offer Halloween treats. 
• The Edgewater Hotel built a pop-up bar on the second floor of the historic destination resort. Dubbed the Spookly Little Halloween Bar in the Halloween-themed Ravenedge Manor. The pop-up bar will open from 5 p.m. until 11 p.m. through Nov. 3. 
• Ascend Prime Steak and Sushi hosts Nightmare on 31st. For $95 guests receive two cocktails and passed appetizers. Additional food and drinks will be available off their happy hour menu.

• Rochambeau on Lower Queen Anne hosts a Halloween Costume Party Dinner featuring a four-course dinner paired with cocktails for $150. The best costume of the evening wins a $150 that can be redeemed toward the evening’s tab. 
• Imperia Lake Union kicks off the evening with a glass of Champagne for guests. Then the fun starts with tarot card readers, living statues, cabaret performances, and a contortionist drink special and snacks will be available throughout the night. Single tickets are $78. VIP booths for up to four guests are $599. 
• The Team at Fever Seattle hosts “House of Spirits” in the Daughters of the American Revolution building (dubbed the Vaughan Mansion for the night) on Capitol Hill Oct. 30 and Oct. 31. Tickets range from $69-$128 and include four craft cocktails. 
• The Lodge at St. Edwards State Park hosts a Halloween Night Ball. For $60, guests can enjoy appetizers and also receive two drink tickets. 
• Capitol Hill-based Hello Robin is collaborating with Madrona-based Mad Candy for a unique twist on its seminal chocolate chip cookies, adding potato chips, espresso malt balls, chocolate covered espresso beans, and semisweet chocolate into the recipe. 
• Cafe Nordo’s Ghost of Nebula at the Georgetown Steam Plant is an interactive performance through various haunted rooms culminating with cocktails in the De-Contamination Lounge through Nov. 2. Tickets range from $40 to $130 per guest. 
• Mikayla Benedict’s sexy and seductive House of Eve in the Denny Triangle, opened not quite a year, hosts a Halloween party featuring $14 Halloween cocktails and $7 Halloween shots. 
• The Cozy Nut in Greenwood turns into The Spooky Nut on Halloween with a Halloween-themed menu at this neighborhood bar with a Rocky Mountain bar motif. 
• Luka’s Sit, Sip & Spin in Belltown kicks off its Halloween festivities at 9 p.m. with food and cocktail specials, a live DJ and costume contest.

• Businesses in White Center throws a block party beginning at 4 p.m. with a Spooky Low Rider Trunk or Treat, carnival games and trick or treating around the block. The main event, live wrestling, runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in front of Lariat Bar. The evening continues with beer gardens, live music, and a costume contest for Kraken tickets. 
• The Can Can presents This is Halloween through Nov. 2 at The Triple Door. Tickets are $49-$83. The full food and beverage menu from the affiliated Wild Ginger is available during the evening. 
• Several bars around Seattle host a Halloween bar crawl, including Rough & Tumble, Vera’s Pizza and Bar, Kangaroo and Kiwi ,and Percy’s in Ballard, and Pine Box, St. Johns, Big Mario’s, La Cocina Oaxaqueña, Bimbo’s and Cha Cha Lounge on Capitol Hill. 
• Uncle Eddie’s and Loretta’s Northwesterner in South Park team up to host a costume contest. The winner takes home $300. The runner-up a set of steak knives, in Glengarry Glen Ross style. 
• Caety Sagoian performs at Civility and Unrest, the Downtown Bellevue craft cocktail bar.
