Best Place to Flirt: Pioneer Square Art Walk

Forget swiping on a screen; the best place to catch the eye of someone cute, and maybe even make a move, is at the monthly Pioneer Square Art Walk. Although the art walk is one of, if not the longest-running event of its kind in the country (happening for more than six decades now), it has recently seen a major influx of attendees. From May to August 2025, the number of individuals in the neighborhood on the night of First Thursday Art Walk ranged from 19,000 to 47,000. Yes, there were sporting games happening on some of these dates, but even at its lowest, those feel like some good odds for meeting someone flirt-worthy, or, at the very least, having some intellectually stimulating conversation. Seattleites seem to be treating Art Walk like the place to see and be seen, with creatives, fashionistas, techies, students, and professionals of all ages donning their best looks to mix, mingle, and maybe get a number or two.
About Best of the Best
Everyone loves a winner. And when it comes to Seattle favorites, there’s no shortage of opinions on which places, spaces, and bites deserve top honors. This year, we did things a little differently—our staff weighed in, debating and voting to determine the best of the best across the city. We also ran our annual Readers’ Choice poll for comparison (and yes, there was overlap in just one category). Here’s to celebrating all the winners, no matter who cast the vote.
