A new study ranks Washington state No. 7 in the country for working moms because of the quality of daycare, a generous parental leave policy, work-life balance, and competitive salaries for women. 

Seattle ranks as the second-greenest city in the United States, just behind San Francisco. The study evaluated cities on sustainability metrics including air quality, public transportation, access to green space, and bike-friendliness.

Visit Seattle released preliminary figures for 2023 at its annual meeting Wednesday, and found that the region hosted 37.8 million visitors last year, an 8.9% increase from 2022. That’s just 10% less than in 2019, the last full year before the pandemic.

The city’s first store devoted entirely to K-pop, K-pop Nara, is now open in Capitol Hill. Fans can purchase the usual goods for a K-pop store: albums, lightsticks, artist merchandise, stationary, and more. Unique items include custom photocard sleeves and magazines with artist interviews.
