!–paging_filter–pAnbsp;whole weekend awaits, and I suggest you spend at least some of it at the strongNorthwest Flower Garden Sho/strongw, which folds up its tent on Sunday. (For show location, hours and ticket info, visit: a href=”http://www.gardenshow.com“gardenshow.com./a)/p
pTo get the biggest bang for your show buck, it pays to have a plan. Say, doing a display garden stroll, followed by an expert seminar, a nosh at the cafe and, finally, a shopping spree. Or, just spend all day shopping the show’s 350-plus exhibitor booths./p
pAny way you navigate it, here are just five of my not-to-miss shopping spots:/p
p1)strong strongVintage Garden Market./strong/strongnbsp;Slipped into a small, far corner, it’s easy to miss this marketstrongnbsp;/strong(it’s just its second year at the show), but it is well worth seeking out. Amid the charming botanical pictures, milk buckets and birdhouses is strongBooth 8VGM /strongshowing thestrongnbsp;/strongGreat Findz of Dawn Oscar (emDealing fornbsp;Haystack Antiques, Kirkland, 702 Market St.; Bellevue, 144 105th Ave. NE; 425.455.1515;nbsp;haystackantiques.com/em). On display are seastars, rows of white milk glass vases, handmade pillows and even a girly Valentine’s-pink metal bistro table./p

Coasting Into Calm

After purchasing a weather-worn, ant-infested cabin on an Oregon beach, a Seattle couple hires a regional team to transform it into a stylish weekend retreat.

When architect Andrew Montgomery first pulled up to his clients’ house in Arch Cape, Oregon, there were logs in the driveway, courtesy of the sizable swells that come with the coast’s king tides. At just 28 feet above sea level and as close as you can get to the water without being on the beach,…
