Must List: Seven Fun Things to Do This Week
Pride, pirates, fireworks, and a comedy legend
By Sarah Stackhouse June 26, 2025
Hasn’t it been pretty outside? It’s finally time to wear something breezy and get back to strolling the neighborhoods with an iced drink in hand.
This week’s lineup: We found out our waters are full of sharks — the big, mysterious kind that make divers giddy. Jones Soda ghosted its cannabis drink. Suncadia’s getting a new retail village. And if you owe someone an apology, we’ve got a guide for that.
Now, here’s what you can get up to this week.
W. Kamau Bell
Friday, June 27, 7:30 p.m.
Neptune Theatre
$48+
If the world’s on fire, at least W. Kamau Bell makes it funny. His shows always get into politics, race, and the internet — and remind us that laughing doesn’t mean we’re not paying attention.
Greenwood Car Show
Saturday, June 28, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Greenwood Avenue North and North 76th Street Phinney Ridge
Free
Nothing says Seattle summer like vintage cars baking in the sun while strangers talk horsepower. If you’re even a little bit into old rides, go and nerd out.
PrideFest Capitol Hill
Saturday, June 28, noon-8 p.m.
Capitol Hill
Free
It’s loud and sweaty — half dance party, half street fair. Take a lap around Cal Anderson Park, grab a drink, hug a stranger, and have a gay old time.
Seafair Pirates Landing
Saturday, June 28, 1:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m.
Alki Beach Park
Free
They’ve got stolen treasure and real beards. An actual pirate ship carries them and their loot through the rough waters of the Salish Sea. It’s very fun and chaotic, and it’s been a thing since the ’50s.
Seattle Pride Parade
Sunday, June 29, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
Westlake Park
Free
Floats, marchers, and drag royalty. It’s the big one. Stake out a curb and cheer for everyone. Bring water and sunscreen — it’ll be a long, hot, beautiful day. Congresswoman Emily Randall and Cheer Seattle are this year’s grand marshals. First held in 1974, the parade is now one of the largest in the country. Never miss the chance to celebrate love.
Baekhyun
Tuesday, July 1, 7:30 p.m.
WAMU Theater
$71.75+
The K-pop star with the softest vocals and slickest moves lands in Seattle. You don’t need to know EXO to get swept up in it, just show up and let the crowd carry you.
3rd of July Family Celebration
Thursday, July 3, 6 p.m.-10 p.m.
Ballinger Park
Free
Why wait for the Fourth? Mountlake Terrace lights up the sky a day early. It’s low-key, family-friendly, and easy to park. Bring a blanket for the lake views, and stop at Diamond Knot Brewpub or Hemlock State Brewing Co. beforehand.
