After a blustery few nights sent recycling bins flying and knocked out power for thousands, the wind is gone and the sun is out. We’re in for a small stretch of mild weather — sunny, even. Now’s a good time to get outside and look for dirt blooms.

Here’s what’s going on around town…

Mayor Harrell is getting in on the executive order action.

The Blessing of the Fleet is such a cool piece of Seattle history.

A James Beard Award nominee is opening a new place at 1 Hotel, and if you need me, I’ll be there — probably pretending I know more about food than I do.

Pearl Jam is just so good. We’re all still holding onto that crush on Eddie Vedder, right?

This new BBQ in Fremont looks delicious. Sending our CFO, a true barbecue connoisseur, to check it out.

This should concern all of us.

Skiing has gotten ridiculously expensive. Here’s why.

Making this bruschetta with mashed beans once I get over Covid.

Staying engaged when things start to feel hopeless—and when it feels like there’s nothing you can do—is really difficult. At our staff meeting today, we talked about how many of us are feeling this same…
