Camelion Design recently celebrated 20 years in business, selling everything from upholstered furniture to cookbooks. In the shop, owner Nicole Vandermeulen, who studied interior design in her native Netherlands, showcases her keen eye for high-quality craftsmanship. Among her stylish selections are area rugs, in fabrics such as wools, recycled materials and chenilles, that suit an array of spaces. A rug is an art piece for the floor, she says, that can “add softness, warmth, color; pulling the room together.” Consider adding a new pattern or hue to splash some new life into your home.
