Downtown Seattle Will be Crawling With Lamborghinis Tomorrow
Keep an eye out for the parade of 1 percenters during your Friday commute.

Don’t be alarmed if you see 30 flashy Lamborghinis during your morning commute tomorrow. It’s not a celebrity or the president. It’s just some people with big pockets and a luxury road trip ahead of them.
Lamborghini’s Giro is an annual event where Lamborghini owners from around the country meet up for a massive road trip. This year, the trip will be a five-day tour of the Pacific Northwest starting in Seattle and ending in Portland. Naturally, the lavish trek includes five-star accommodations and private meals along the way.
Bringing together 1 percenters with a common love of Italian sports cars, the Lamborghini brigade converges downtown at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel (411 University St.) at 7:30 a.m. Friday to begin the trip. The opulent caravan will make its way to the Bainbridge ferry before cruising the Olympic Peninsula.
With the abundance of wealth flooding into the city from tech companies, Lamborghinis’ vertically lifting spider doors are not an entirely uncommon sight in some parts of town. Meanwhile, the rest of us will keep tapping ORCA cards and griping about Uber’s surge pricing.
Want to be one of the lucky ones participating in the Giro next year? Don’t worry—the 2017 Lamborghini Aventador S is only $500,000 at the dealership in Bellevue.
