8 Drop-In Sports to Play This Summer

Do you fondly remember the days of aces and stuff blocks on your intramural college volleyball team? Did you once single-handedly vanquish your opponents in eighth grade P.E. pickleball? Maybe you’re curious to see if you can still hit a free throw or manage to put a little back spin on a ping pong serve. Maybe you’ve never played badminton in your life but kind of want to try.

We’ve rounded up several open gyms and drop-in times for different sports to try out this summer. None of the sports listed require a season-long commitment, just one or two free hours. Whether you’re a hockey star or a basketball beginner, there’s something for you! Show up to play by yourself or with a friend, and remember to bring your own equipment.
