Montlake’s 56th Annual Greek Festival
(10/7 to 10/9, times vary) You don’t need to be a philosopher to understand that the 56th annual Greek Festival in Seattle’s Montlake neighborhood is a good idea. Classic Greek specialties such as loukoumathes, lamb, baklava and gyros await you while you enjoy music from Taki and the Mad Greeks.

The wide range of offerings includes an Artist Alley, collectibles, and table top games and gaming workshops.

October 10 is the online and mail-in deadline to register to vote in the general election and October 31 is the in-person deadline. You’ll need a current Washington state ID, and you must be a United States citizen, a legal resident of Washington state and at least 18 years old.

Must Celebrate
Fun Times at the Northwest Folklife’s Seattle Children’s Festival
Sunday (10/9, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) The third annual Children’s Festival, “Celebrating Our Big Neighborhood,” introduces kids to new cultures and traditions through a variety of mediums and programs. The festival will include interactive events, such as dances from around the world; hands-on activities; guest speakers; musicians; and much more.
