(12/5 to 12/6, times vary) Billed as Seattle’s largest indie craft show, the two-day Winter Urban Craft Uprising (there’s another show in the summer) at the Seattle Center Exhibition Hall is free (a $1 donation is encouraged) and features more than 150 vendors of handcrafted goods.

Painter Cable Griffith Unveils New Works
(12/3 to 1/16, times vary) Painter Cable Griffith’s landscapes bring an electronic pulse to pastoral scenes, fusing the order of human-built infrastructure with the chaos of the natural world. He describes Sightings, his December exhibition of new works at G. Gibson Gallery, as “conceived in conversation with the history of landscape painting, notions of the sublime and reports of unexplained phenomenon in contemporary society.”
