Salt & Straw to Open Third Seattle location in North Kirkland
The newest shop, located in Kirkland’s Totem Lake neighborhood, will open Nov. 20

Iconic Portland-based ice cream company Salt & Straw is opening its third location in the Puget Sound area.
The newest shop, located in Kirkland’s Totem Lake neighborhood, will open Friday, Nov. 20. The shop will have 10 Salt & Straw classic flavors, including Honey Lavender, Sea Salt with Caramel Ribbons and Chocolate Gooey Brownie. The location will also feature limited flavors in collaboration with local businesses, such as Elm Coffee and Westland Whiskey, and Ellenos Yogurt with Matcha.
The location is a part of recent development of The Village at Totem Lake, a mixed-use lifestyle center in North Kirkland. The shop will be the first “free-standing building” of the company’s locations.
Salt & Straw Co-founder and Chief Creative Officer Tyler Malek grew up in Snohomish.
“This redevelopment in north Kirkland is game changing and brings so much life to our community,” Malek says. “For us at Salt & Straw, this is such an honor to open with this swarm of other incredible brands.”
The Kirkland Salt & Straw is located at 12620 120th Ave. N.E. and open from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. Salt & Straw’s two other Seattle-area locations are in Capitol Hill and Ballard.
