As spring nudges temperatures higher, Central Washington’s blooming landscape and the glistening waters of the Columbia River beckon sunseekers and recreation lovers east of the mountains. In Crescent Bar, it’s the most anticipated season as powerboats arise from their winter slumber and families take stock of their swimwear and pool floats. For those considering purchasing a summer vacation home, much is abuzz at Crescent Ridge, the region’s fastest-growing resort community on the Columbia River.

Nestled at the base of Crescent Bar’s signature basalt cliffs, Crescent Ridge is a new residential community overlooking the Columbia River. Last summer, the resort-inspired development unveiled The Vineyard, a new neighborhood of luxury homes set among wine-producing vines of merlot, cabernet sauvignon and syrah.

Each home offers single level living in a range of 2,000-2,800 square-foot layouts. Designs feature wrap-around covered patios, oversized garages, 10-foot ceilings, and impressive kitchen and bath finishes.

Owners at Crescent Ridge are eagerly awaiting the completion of a brand-new resort-inspired amenity collection, including a river view pool, fitness center, and pickleball courts  — all coming in time for full enjoyment this summer.

In sync with these new amenities comes the grand opening of Beaumont Cellars Tasting Room + Bistro at the entry to Crescent Ridge. This anticipated addition offers indoor and outdoor seating, a diverse food and beverage program, wine-tasting bar and a full-service private events pavilion. The new Beaumont Cellars Tasting Room + Bistro is family friendly and open to the public.

In addition to great food and wine, Beaumont offers an outdoor entertainment venue, and is preparing to host its inaugural summer concert series, Sips and Sounds.  Beginning June 1, a curated selection of regional acts will take to a new amphitheater at the base of Crescent Ridge with the river as its backdrop.

Whether seeking year-round adventure or retreat, Crescent Ridge is a one-of-a-kind home ownership opportunity in Central Washington. A limited selection of move-in ready homes are available for purchase from $1.7 million. Current inventory and early buyer incentives can be found by contacting Sales Director Melissa Camp at 509-787-0500 or by visiting CrescentRidgeResort.com.

Best Places to Live: Normandy Park

A place apart —but still close to everything.

Normandy Park is a place people choose deliberately. First laid out in 1929 as a suburb, the area grew after the city incorporated in 1953, but it was still home to fewer than 2,000 residents. Much of the land had previously been logged or farmed, and even as Seattle expanded nearby, Normandy Park took shape…

Best Places to Live: Black Diamond

Where to live if you want more space (and love the outdoors).

Black Diamond has always felt like a town apart—not just in distance from Seattle (39 miles), Renton (18 miles), and Bellevue (28 miles), but in pace and personality. Located in southeastern King County, the former coal mining hotspot dates back to the late 19th century, taking its name from the Black Diamond Coal Mining Company….
