Steps from the waters of Lake Washington and within the shadow of magnificent Mount Rainier, the Parkshore Living tower stands as a testament to community and living well. This Continuing Care Retirement Community supports an active atmosphere with outings, classes and social events as well as world-class dining options. Not only is Parkshore in one of Seattle’s premier neighborhoods, with shopping and recreation nearby, but the tower recently underwent a $35 million renovation updating common areas and adding a restaurant and swimming pool. In addition, the fully remodeled apartments retain a sense of home and style with modern amenities, kitchens, washer/dryers and unparalleled views.

Neighborhood

Steps from the front door is a swimming beach, park and tennis courts — and the local golf and tennis clubs are mere minutes away. Those with a boat can make use of a marina slip at Parkshore’s private dock. The tower’s fabulous location is a draw for local residents and those from across the country. With its increasing popularity, Parkshore’s marketing director encourages planning ahead and joining the Lakeside Club waitlist.

Community

When residents Bill and Maria Wertz were asked about their favorite aspect of Parkshore, they replied without hesitation, “The fitness center. The full-time staff is outstanding.” The facility will soon have a new pool with a state-of-the-art UV cleaning system. The community also includes many resident committees who work with the Lifestyles Director to plan events such as author talks, educational presentations, movie nights, seasonal parties and wine socials.

Food and Dining

Renowned Seattle chef Mark Linden has developed the new 360 Grille, a trendy fireside restaurant on the 15th floor of Parkshore, with a panoramic view including the Cascades and Lake Washington. On the main floor, the Lakeside dining room serves three delicious meals a day. Both dining rooms have outdoor patios, and catering is available for group meals or guest visits.

Parkshore knows that baby boomers are moving into a new phase of life and has made it their mission to transform the perception of age and enhance the lives of their residents. “Don’t wait,” say the Wertzes. “Take the opportunity to enjoy the amenities that are here for you and enjoy your senior years.”
