(7/25 to 7/27, times vary) — Stage dive into the urban music festival vibe at the Capitol Hill Block Party, featuring awesome local bands including Cataldo, Katie Kate, Ayron Jones, Country Lips, Pollens and dozens more.

Pop a Squat at the Mural
Saturday (7/26, 9 p.m.) — Catch an outdoor movie on the Seattle Center’s Mural Amphitheatre lawn–right beneath the Space Needle. Seating is first-come, first-served, so show up early if you want a prime spot (bring some grub! have a picnic!). This weekend’s family-friendly film is The Princess Bride.

Local Dance Stars Swarm the Stage at Strictly Seattle
(7/25 and 7/26, times vary) — Seattle’s future dance stars take over the Broadway Performance Hall for this annual event showcasing local choreographers. Watch lucky students perform new works created just for them by movement mavens Zoe Scofield, Pat Graney, Shannon Stewart and Jody Kuehner.

The Seafair Torchlight Parade Flickers Down Fourth Avenue
Saturday (7/26, 7:30 to 12 a.m.) — Our city’s famous evening parade—this year with co-grand marshals Clint Dempsey and DeAndre Yedlin of the Seattle Sounders—ambles along Fourth Avenue, accompanied by illuminated floats, the Seattle Seahawks Blue Thunder Drumline and the Alaska Airlines Flight Attendant Drill Team (with roller bags!).

Bellevue Gets Arty
(7/25 to 7/27, times vary) — Always free, always outdoors, the annual BAM ARTSfair features booths upon booths of original artwork by more than 300 emerging and established artisans, including furniture maker Greg Klassen and metalsmith Patrick Meyer.
